How can sales teams utilize content marketing to push for higher sales revenue? “According to Sirius Decisions, a global B2B research and advisory firm, 65 percent of B2B content goes unused. ” One of the reasons being that the sales and the marketing team do not collaborate as much as they should, and information is not shared and may not be relevant to what the sales teams need. Inc.com shares some good tips to get this team work going:

  • share information with both the sales and marketing teams like all the questions that customers’ ask so the marketing group can develop content based on what the customers’ need to know
  • share all new data that the sales team acquires about customers
  • establish a data storage system so that everyone who needs to access the information can find what they need easily
  • produce content that is easy to personalize for different clients
  • work on being flexible and allow for some deviation from marketing branding standards, after all having sales is beneficial for all teams
  • keep open communication with regularity between the two teams and work on finding standards and processes that work for both teams and generates more revenue
