Maintaining a Steady Business Rhythm

Deepsky Accounting shares some tips on how they use a well-measured schedule to balance sanity and manage and increase their growth. Below are some of the things that they do:
- Quarterly retreats – during this 2-3 day retreat, digest and review the top goal and ensure that the whole team is focused on the same initiative. This is a good place to create time for team-building activities, field related educational opportunities, and group sessions to share good practices. Planning specific goals for the next quarter is also key.
- Monthly meetings – usually 6-8 hours a month are designated for studying metrics to ensure being on target for the goal set at the quarterly meetings.
- Weekly meetings – are usually Friday working lunch meeting where discussion is more on the day to day practices, meeting the goal set last week, and seeking areas for improvement.
- Daily huddle – lasts about 15 minutes and a check in to see if anyone needs assistance and keep everyone in the loop.
