6 Must Do’s After Incorporating

Accounting Today shares 6 things that you should help your client with after they have successfully incorporated their small business.  As you know, there are quite a few differences that your client may not be aware that they have to do once they changed from a sole proprietorship to a Limited Liability Corporation (LLC).

  1. Getting an Employer Identification Number (EIN) for the LLC on the IRS website.
  2. Opening a business bank account
  3. Filing for any Doing Business As (DBA’s), as needed
  4. Applying for all required permits and business licenses (local, state, and federal)
  5. Applying for appropriate trademarks
  6. Starting work on corporate compliance requirements
