Providing quality customer service is key. You may have a great product or service but if your customer service is subpar, you will not be as profitable as you could be.  Neil Patel of Quicksprouts goes as far to say that even an average product or service will be profitable, if the customer service is excellent.  Research supports his statement revealing that as much as 80% of consumers are willing to pay more for excellent customer service.  Clearly, how you treat your customers affects the vitality of your business.  So, what can you do to discover how your customers feel about your business.

  1.   Create customer surveys
  2.   Interview customers
  3.   Make sure you have a comment box on your website
  4.   Check third-party reviews, like Google, Trip Advisor, Yelp, etc
  5.   Utilize live video broadcast, like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc
  6.   Send follow-up emails after transactions
  7.   Be active with social media, not just posting but responding to what your customers have to say.
  8.   Organize focus groups when viable

Customer service does affect your economic trajectory.  Try several or a combination of the ideas presented.  Customers respond to each interaction differently, discover which ones work best with your clientele.
