IRS Phone Scams Continue Despite Ringleaders Arrest

Twenty four year-old, Sagar Thakkar, tax scam mastermind was arrested on April 8, 2017 in India for the largest tax scam ever and on April 10th the IRS issued yet another warning that the phone and email phishing scams continue.  These types of tax scams will continue with other criminals and the perpetrators are counting on you letting your guard down.  If you get a purported phone call from the IRS, don’t give out any information, hang up, and call the IRS directly, if you think you owe any taxes.
