Expiring commuter tax break will cost public transit users

The commuter benefit parity ended on January 1st, 2014. The monthly benefit that commuters receive through their employers will drop from $245 to $130. This could cause an increase in commuting costs up to $1380. Drivers will see their parking benefit automatically bump up to $250 per month. Read more details here.
